You may have noticed that the Fikle Chik header has undergone a bit of a transformation since last you saw her. Thanks for the great suggestion Hidden Thought! She now more accurately reflects her current physique, as you can see by these photos:
Fourteen weeks have added 3 or 4 pounds and made sweatpants even more heavenly than they once were. Too bad I can't wear them to school. My first maternity clothing excursion was more challenging than I expected. I found that Old Navy has some great looking gear online for women of the pregnant persuasion, but I wasn't sure what size to get:
The maternity section in the store is pretty tiny, but I at least determined what sizes fit me best (at least for now) so that I could order a couple of things. The grey cords (above) are incredibly comfortable and I highly recommend them.
I actually think maternity clothes have got something going on - flowy, comfortable tops, stretchy pants - I think I want maternity clothes even when I'm not pregnant! So for you non-pregnant women out there who want some comfortable work-wear, I say go maternity!
I'm glad you're back to blogging! And congrats again on the "little chick."
ReplyDeleteI agree with the comfy maternity clothes. It was very tough to go back to non-stretchy pants and loose shirts after having my baby. I wish regular clothes were more like maternity clothes. Enjoy your new wardrobe while it lasts!!!
