She is a native of York, Pennsylvania, and after a thirty year career as an illustrator, she now works part-time as a professor and full-time as a professional artist. After co-founding the City Art Studio in the city of York, Wintermyer moved to her own studio in downtown York:
Brenda loves to paint her environment, whether she is in the rolling hills of Tuscany, or the streets of downtown York. I would love to have one of her vibrant Impressionistic paintings in my own home one day...

I *just* bought the Toast of York print! We got a print of the square as a wedding gift and decided we're going to buy ourselves a new print every year as our Christmas gift to each other :)
