Another little girl! Violet is a very happy little lady as she's been asking for a 'sista', and I'm now told by Kevin that although he's very excited to be the daddy of two sweet girls, he must carry on the family name. So apparently I'm expected to have a third!? We'll see about that...
Anyway, we're over the moon and so excited now to choose a name and spruce up the nursery for our new little darling. Any name suggestions that sound lovely with 'Violet'? xo, Lauren
P.S. I made the cookies using this Letterpress cookie cutter set from West Elm.
Yeahhhhh!!!!! Congrats - so excited for another sweet little girl!
ReplyDeleteThat's so wonderful! I can't believe it...another girl. I feel like everyone I know who had a girl first has another girl for #2. I will live vicariously through you as you indulge all your (and my!) pink fantasies since I am destined for a life of Matchbox cars and superheros. Congrats to all of you!
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!!! Congrats!!! (word o' caution to your hubby -- everyone I know who has 2 girls and tried for another....got THREE girls!)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Lauren, so exciting! I like the name Charlotte and think it would go well with Violet!
ReplyDeleteI love Charlotte too! But unfortunately Kevin isn't a fan :(
Deleteoh, yay! another beautiful little girl!!! congrats you lovely family! xoxox. & hahahah @ the 3rd comment!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Girls are wonderful, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteCongrats - very exciting!! My hubby doesn't like a lot of my girl names, so I'll send you one of my favorites...Jillian.
ReplyDeletehow fun!! congratulations. let the shopping begin :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteWe have a Lily, and love flower names. Would you go with a flower theme? Lily, Juniper, Tulip, Daisy....
If I had a daughter myself, I would name her either Amelia or Wren. Both of which I think go nicely with Violet!
ReplyDeletesisters! what a treat!
ReplyDeletecongratulations, love.
xoxo
Congrats!!! I think that Scarlett is pretty and would go nicely with Violet (and keep with a color theme?), although maybe you don't want something too close-sounding to Violet. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! We would be happy with just one girl!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I have a daughter and two baby girl twins on the way, so I'm with you in girl-land! As far as having a third, remember two things: 1. you could just as easily have a third girl :) and 2. At least half of the younger married women I know have kept their names (including me). So it's not just boys who carry the names on anymore! I'm in the midst of obsessing about names--with two to name, it gets overwhelming. But it's a great problem to have.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on another sweet baby girl! It's sounds like Violet is very excited to have a baby sister on the way! My daughter's name is Charlotte, which I adore! A few other I names I like are Beatrice, Claire and Genevieve!
ReplyDeletecongrats! sisters are so fun! we have 3 girls - naomi, akemi, & violet :) (and one boy who's totally outnumbered!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! As the mom of two boys, it is always exciting to hear of girls!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! So happy for you and your family:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteI have a niece named Elliot (Ellie) and a goddaughter named Perrin and adore both their names! Olivia (Olive), Amalia (Molly) and Annabelle are also sweet.
Congrats!! I love having two girls--so happy for you! :)
ReplyDeletevanessa
My daughter's name is Scarlet, and I've actually thought about naming a future second daughter (if I get so lucky) Violet! Congratulations :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on baby girl number 2! I have two of my own, although not babies any more. They are 10 and 8, and although they are older my husband and I like to play the baby naming game. We like to think of names for boys and girls and see if we agree sometime it gets silly, but fun none the less. Some of my favorites are Gwendolyn, or Gwen for short, Annaliese, and Elyse. I think Eva is pretty too!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome to any of my never used names (Helena, Willa, June, Maisie, Etta, Lucy, Georgia, Hattie or Eliza). I only have boys...
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I love Hazel!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteHooray! I am so happy for you. And I love how you shared the news. So sweet and clever :)
ReplyDeleteVery excited for you and your family! You have great taste so I'm sure you'll choose another beautiful name. To throw a few names out there- Annie, Audrey, Mae, Clara...
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and congrats on girl number 2! I have a Violet and an Emaline, so I think those go together beautifully. I also love Penelope or Poppy. Poppy and Violet would be adorable!
