Baby Wish List No. 006
I'm on the hunt at the moment for a unisex diaper bag, and let me tell you it isn't easy! We definitely learned from the last baby that we need one location to permanently house diapers, wipes, etc. so we can just grab and go. No switching back and forth between a Daddy and Mommy diaper bag. Here are four options that I'm currently eyeing up (although most are definitely out of my price range!)
1. Bento Ultimate Diaper Bag - Amazon ($82)
2. Charlie Unisex Diaper Bag - SoYoung ($175)
3. Storksak Sofia - Amazon ($398)
4. BabyBeau Butterscotch Kobe Bag - Zulily ($244.99)
Any suggestions for a stylish and affordable diaper bag that would work for the Mister and me would be greatly appreciated! xo, Lauren

What about using a soft sided briefcase? I purchased one most recently as a gift in November. It was Kenneth Cole on sale for about $60. We've used them for all sorts of events not just work related.
ReplyDeleteTarget has some gorgeous black ones right now.
ReplyDeleteIt's pricey but the Charlie bag has been great for us. Happy shopping!
ReplyDeleteWe also purchased the Charlie bag and it's the only one you will need. I used it for my daughter when she was a baby and now that she is a toddler, we use it as a picnic bag, overnight bag, beach bag... Definitely money well spent!
ReplyDeleteWe've been using the Cargo Tote by Timbuk2 (in all black) and it's worked well for us. Admittedly not as good looking as the Charlie bag but it's husband approved. :) It's a great price point and full of pockets and such for organizing!

I purchased the SkipHop Wave Dot diaper bag, also wanting a unisex diaper bag. 8 months in, and we still like it. Lots of easy to access compartments, easy to clean, easy to attach to a stroller, and coordinates with my stroller colors. Good price points to...actually mine is $80 on Amazon, but I found it on some random clearance at my Target for $20 (gasp!). Check out these unisex options from that brand:

The charlie bag is on my wish list! We are also looking for a better, bigger, unisex bag for baby #2. :)
ReplyDeletedont get the 1. Bento Ultimate Diaper Bag - Amazon ($82)!! we got it for our son and we never used it ever (he is not 19 months)...and it still tore and looks worn. we got the mustard color one because my husband and i wanted to be able to use the same bag and it was a major let down. i know you already have a (beautiful) daughter, but my advise is get an awesome backpack.
ReplyDeletedont get the 1. Bento Ultimate Diaper Bag - Amazon ($82)! we wanted a good unisex diaper bag that both my husband and i would want to use and we hated it. we barely used it (our son is 19 months now) and it looks so worn and has tears all over. definitely not recommended.
ReplyDeletei know you already have a (beautiful) daughter, but i feel that a good backpack was always our go to. so much easier to carry when you have a kid who wont let you put him down.
We've had the Bento box for 13 months now and we love it. It has a million pockets so here's how we use it: the front zippered pocket keeps all items needed for 2 quick diaper changes; the larger zippered pocket behind it for additional diapers. The interior pockets each house an "extra" of each item (more diapers, wipes, washcloth, burp cloth), plus toys, sunblock, and a change of clothes. The back pocket keeps the changing pad plus some disposable changing pads and my wallet. We also keep a spare swaddling blanket in there just in case. The bento case below has been awesome since my son began eating solid foods! (Before then, we used it to store an extra set of his clothes.) I never have to worry about finding space in teh bag to throw in food since the built-in bento area is perfect and I never have trouble actually fitting the bento case itself in.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I both really love the bag, but I know that everyone has a different experience to share.
