H-Haus Christmas 2010

12.24.2010
These are a little late, as I've been in a bit of a Christmas/teething sick baby/sick mommy whirlwind lately, but here are some photos from around the H-Haus this Christmas. Not the best photos I've ever taken, but I'm lucky they were taken at all!

Mmmm...clementines! One sweet Christmas treat that I can still indulge in:

Violet's knit stocking came from Land's End. I love the little felt tree ornament that came with it with her initials monogrammed onto it:

And I love this little newspaper tree that I purchased from West Elm:

We decorated the house with these pretty snowflakes made by Violet's great-grammy:

And pretty felt pointsettias - I wanted to make some myself, but never got around to it, so I purchased them from Etsy seller margosmuse:

Cookies that I can't eat from the fun and festive cookie exchange that V and I attended:

I'm looking forward to filling this Advent calendar with special surprises someday when V is a bit older:

Our yummy pine-smelling tree with our metallic ornaments makes the whole house feel festive and cozy:

Charlie loves to snuggle under the tree with his pal, Tiggy. It may have something to do with the soft bed and warm radiator as well.

Moe loves the tree too - I think it makes them feel like they are outside in the wilderness with tasty squirrels and birds:

We purchased Violet a custom ornament from Etsy seller CraftyMommy09. It turned out perfectly:

I always love decorating for Christmas. There's something magical about the house when it's all decked out in tinsel and pine, but the best part of Christmas this year is the surprise we got a couple of days ago...my sister flew in from Australia to spend Christmas and New Year's with us! I've been missing her so much - the holidays just don't feel the same without her. A big thank you to my brother-in-law Dan for letting us have her this year! It's my Christmas miracle (And Violet is pretty thrilled to have her Aunt Nikki back as well):

Happy Christmas Eve!
