Violet's Big Girl Room: Update

2.07.2012
I've updated the idea board for Violet's big girl room again to get a better picture of where I'm headed:

Little changes and additions here and there. I can't wait to finish it! I'm still stuck on the bed. I really don't want a bedskirt, but I have to find a bed that's on the smaller side so that it fits properly in our teeny space. (And is the right price of course!)

*Update: Most sources can be found on my Pinterest board here.

  3. Check out the "SUNDVIK" at Ikea. We bought two for our boys to use in a shared room and have been very happy with them. I ended up going with the black because the white wasn't consistent in the color between materials, but that's just me being OCD- they have a wood color now too. They are the same width as a crib and slightly shorter than a twin- my 4yr old will fit for years to come and my 2yr old has only fallen out of his bed 3 times since we purchased them 5months ago. Twin bedding still fits, you just have lots to tuck under the mattress :) I love the color palette you are going with for Violet!

  5. I don't know that you're looking for a brass bed for Violet's big girl room but there is a nice option on Overstock and you might be able to tone it down some or paint it if you didn't want the brass. I'll have to find the link. I think it's nice to be able to draft up an idea board and then let it evolve over time - little tweaks here and there. It's so pretty! I'll have to start following along with you on Pinterest.
