Crib Construction (with Charlie)

2.04.2010
I'm so excited that the Hubster set up Violet's crib over the weekend! It was really easy to put together and is very sturdy. Despite this, Charlie decided that his help was needed, as you can see from the photos I snapped of the process:

The really funny part was that the Hubster was blasting Smashing Pumpkins during this whole process, and Charlie really hammed it up when Rat in a Cage came on. Okay, so maybe he's way cuter than a rat, and maybe the crib is way cuter than a cage, but still...

So thanks to Charlie and the Hubster, our baby now has a place to sleep when she decides to enter the world! Stay tuned - more furniture to come!

  1. Just found your blog through Kristi @ Chateau Whitman. Great job on the crib! Your nursery is going to be so cute. And Charlie is quite the handsome cat... isn't it funny how they always have to be involved in everything (yet act like they don't care)?

  2. Thanks Amanda! The crib was pretty easy to put together (thank goodness after all the work we've already done on the nursery) Charlie definitely has to be involved in everything - I tried to tell him that curiosity is what killed the cat, but he doesn't seem to care :)

  4. I know this is WAY late, but I'm in love with the Jenny Lind crib. My question is- Is it safe without the wheels attached? I just hate the look of them and noticed you didn't attach yours.

    1. Yes, it's perfectly safe! :) I've laid in the crib, both of my girls have been in it together jumping around, and we've had it for 5 years without incident.
