So I think the Hubster and I are both nesting at this point. At one time the back room of our house was the dining room. However when we removed the wall between the living room and office we ended up moving the dining room in there to create a dining/living space. It makes more sense for us - we use it a lot more and it is closer to the kitchen.
Unfortunately as a result our former dining room started to become a storage space. We just put things in there that we didn't know what else to do with. Well this past weekend we finally got fed up with it and did some cleaning, organization, and rearranging. It is now a functional space and we are so happy! It could definitely use a few finishing touches, so I came up with an idea board:
Certain things will remain - the wall color (Behr Cheyenne Rock), the IKEA bookshelves for now, and our glass and metal coffee table. We'd like to get new chairs, curtains, and accessories. I fell in love with the botanical poster pictured above (found it via Nicole Balch's Wists on Making it Lovely - she has such great taste!), but it is sold out, so I will probably paint something similar. This provided a great jumping off point for the color scheme though. I'm excited - now I just have to see if the Hubster likes it!
