When I Grow Up...

When I was just a wee little one, I had a lot of dreams about what I wanted to be when I grew up. A teacher (which I now am), a garbage (wo)man (I thought that it was neat that they got to ride on the side of the truck...), and a ballerina. I'm not sure where the ballerina thing came from, as I didn't take dance lessons of any kind. I probably just thought they were pretty and liked their fluffy tutus.

Because of my tutu obsession, my Mamaw gave me some beautiful ballerina music boxes. They decorated my room for years. I spent many hours listening to those tinkling melodies and watching the dancers go round and round. So when my sister saw an adorable baby tutu at Tar-Jay, she just had to get it for her favorite niece. Unfortunately, she never got to see it on Violet because it was still too big for her, and she had to fly back to Australia too soon.

I personally think she should've stayed in the U.S. long enough for Violet to wear her present (or longer), but for some reason she felt the need to go back to her job, husband, dog...AKA her life. Being the nice and VERY understanding sister that I am, I thought I'd take a few photos of ballerina Violet for Aunt Nikki (and all of you) to enjoy:

There are those big, beautiful [awake] eyes that I promised! And actually, the Hubster took the photos while I stood over his shoulder and made funny faces and sounds at our babe. She was such a perfect little model - I love her so much!
