Recently, Andrea wrote to me for help with her nursery:
Hi Lauren,
We are decorating a nursery for our first baby. We like more gender neutral colors like orange and green. We would then add in some blue/pink (brights not pastels) in accessories and accent pieces. The room is good sized but it has angled ceilings that follow the ridge of the roof. So on two walls there is a lot of open space going all the way up to the point of the roof and on the other two walls the ceiling starts angling at about seven feet. Also, it only has one window so it's awfully dark. We want a light, open-feeling space but we do not want white or too light of walls. We prefer more color. Hope that makes sense. I like vintage and my husband makes furniture, if you find something great that doesn't fit in the budget, I can still be on the look out for a piece like it that is w/in our price range. This is a great idea by the way! I love your site! I like simple functional things and clean lines but I love repurposed and unique items. I want warmth and texture but not clutter.
A colorful, warm, and unique space? Sounds perfect! Here's what I came up with:
Wall Paint - Behr Celery Bunch
Crib Paint - Behr Red Hot
Crib Bedding - Etsy Seller RockyTopDesign (Timber in Blue Lime 'g')
Dresser - WhiteBerry Reinvented
Print - Etsy Seller Leah Duncan
Stuffed Animal - Etsy Seller Fong's Studio
Rug - Velocity Art & Design
Sheepskin - IKEA
Lamp - Crate & Barrel
Bunting -Etsy Seller Paperklip Design
Vintage Blocks - Etsy Seller Vintage Avacado
Curtains - Urban Outfitters
You just blew my mind with cuteness! I love the combo of textures and patterns going on in that space :).
