And here is the before photo:
Now keep in mind that we're still not finished, but here is the (in-progress) after:
Here's what we've done:
- Painted the walls (Martha Stewart Magnetite)
- Installed a new light fixture
- Painted the trim (Behr Ultra Pure White)
- Installed a hexagon tile floor
- Replaced the peeling fiberglass shower surround with white subway tile
- Replaced the tub faucet, showerhead, and sink faucet
And probably my favorite thing in the bathroom is this original painting by Michelle Morin. (although the hand towels from Anthropologie aren't bad either):
I'd still like to find a few more wall accessories, and we also need to install the threshold in between the bathroom hexagon tile and hall:
The last thing I'd like to do is have a custom roman shade created for the window. Here are a few of the fabrics I'm considering:
Thanks so much! xo, Lauren
I love the floor. Classic and timeless.
ReplyDeleteLove that print. All of the colors combined work so well together. I really love the wall color too... let's just say I love everything about it lol. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful. I love the gray and yellow colours. And the print and towels.
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's why we chose it - it seemed to be a good fit for our little 1930's home.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kasey! I love gray and yellow together and have really been wanting to use the combination in a room somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! I can't wait to finish it.
ReplyDeleteGood work Lauren, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love it! The floral print shade really catches my eye, would look awesome with the paint color & yellow towels. Can you share the style#/Maker?
ReplyDeleteLet me know when your house is for sale.. I would so move in as is!
Hey Lauren -
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you ended up locating the name of the fabric on the roman shade, but Camila posted about it over on Effortless Style (http://blog.effortless-style.com/2011/08/weekend-recap-my-rug-arrived/) last week. It's Misia fabric by Manuel Canovas. Funny too, because I knew she used this fabric ages ago, and I searched all through her archives trying to find it, but was unsuccessful. So disappointed, but then here she goes and posts about it a couple weeks later!
Thank you so much Carolyn! I hadn't gotten the name of the fabric, just a seller who wouldn't give me the name lol. I really appreciate the info!
