A Red, White and Blue Balcony

I'd love to decorate our patio - right now it is just a slab of concrete with two chairs. Not quite the outdoor paradise I had imagined. Because we live in an apartment, that is all the outdoor space we get. I'd love something New England inspired, whites, reds, blues, lighthouses, beachy, etc. but I'm totally open to anything. I love plants but I'm not sure if I can keep them alive. I'll take any and all ideas and if I ever eventually finish I promise to take pictures!

Here is a picture:

I am a horrible photographer and I just took them and it's dark out but it's an idea. The door to the left is a closet and the door to the right is the entrance into the living room. Thanks for looking at them, I appreciate the help!

Stripes, seagrass, and wicker = a recipe for patio paradise:

Belle may need to edit out a couple of items to prevent her space from looking too busy. If necessary I would remove the lantern and wind chime.

The window box can go under the window or over the railing. I would lose the chair's current cushion and replace it with the blue one. Lastly, I would probably switch out the shades on the chandelier and replace with white or seagrass (or maybe no shades at all).

Hoe the red, white and blue and puts you in the Nantucket mood!
