I was perusing one of my favorite blogs, This Young House, one day and came across this simple storage solution:
Baskets! The difficult part now was finding the right size, shape, and color baskets in our price range. It took me a while, but while I was at Michael's buying paint (for the huge, blank canvas above the couch) the other day, I noticed that they had all baskets at 40% off! Score!
I got these beauts for $11.00 each:
(Please excuse my reflection.) They're perfect! I love the new clean look. Do you have any simple storage solutions that you would like to share? We'd love to hear about them! Maybe they'll inspire another project...

ReplyDeleteMy favorite storage solution is plastic flower pots - cheap and colorful - we use them to hold all of the spatula's, large serving utensils and whisks in the kitchen. They fit perfectly in the pantry and are easily accessible when your hands are busy/dirty while making meals...I have even started to use smaller ones in the bathroom to keep all of my hair brushes and junk from spreading all over the counter! I like the plastic the best because I am clumsy and don't want to have to clean up a broken pot. Hope this helps if you have those pesky stray utensils or hairbrushes!
