Coral + Color

7.02.2009
Time for guest room number two. Possum joined us for this photo shoot as well. We'll think of her as our tour guide:

This bare bones room needs an injection of color and pizazz. No parents of mine are going to stay in such a space! Here is what I came up with:

Oranges, turquoise, and natural elements help take this space to the next level.
  • The jumping off point for my sister's second guest room came from the blue coral pillow. I thought the bright turquoise color looked amazing against her neutral tan bedding.
  • From there came the amazing wall art, tying in the oranges, greys, browns, tans, and turquoise in the room.
  • Snaking around the boxy painting is an organic coral-inspired wall sculpture.
  • On the wall opposite the bed are three amazing candle sconces. The flickering flames and horizontal lines add a calming element to a space filled with movement
  • Orange cylinder lamps and a matching bolster pillow complete the space

Hope this gives you some inspiration, sis. T-minus one month...get decorating!
