There's little I like more than pulling up to a roadside stand to buy strawberries that have just been picked from a nearby field. Unfortunately, the freshest of fresh strawberries are only available for a few weeks in June, but that doesn't stop me from eating them all summer long! Here's a recipe for a simple summer salad featuring my favorite fruit. Enjoy!
Ingredients- 1 lb spinach
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 T sesame or sunflower seeds (we prefer sunflower seeds)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 t Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 t minced onion
Instructions- Mix dressing ingredients in a small bowl and toss with spinach and strawberries.
- Serve with extra sunflower seeds for sprinkling!
