Modern & Minimal

This space reminded me a lot of my sister's home in Australia:


She loves modern and minimal design, but is always trying to figure out how to inject some warmth into it. I think the organic wood table is perfect at balancing the clean and angular lines of the white modern space.

To warm up her space, she is currently creating some enormous and colorful paintings to hang on her walls, which are absolutely fabulous:


I'll have to ask for a close-up shot - I thought I had one but must have seen it during one of our Skype chats! Up close the paintings remind me of floating under the sea next to a spectacular coral reef.
